You uniquely define a portfolio and the Crowd4Cash system checks for each new project whether your investment criteria are met. If this is the case, your bid will automatically be placed at the defined maximum amount. If a project is slightly oversubscribed, either a pro rata allotment within your investment criteria will occur or in case of a strong oversubscription the bids will be randomized. An investment-portfolio is an accumulation of different assets, such as stocks, bonds and credit investments, that someone holds.

A portfolio is the distribution (diversification) of invested assets across different asset classes, such as bonds, stocks, real estate, currencies, and precious metals. Since the returns of individual assets within different asset classes often do not move in tandem, it is possible to achieve a positive overall performance of the invested funds even if some individual components of the portfolio experience negative performance. In this way, the risk can be minimized for a given expected return, or the return can be maximized for a given level of risk. A loan investment is only weakly dependent on the performance of most asset classes and, through the diversification effect, reduces the overall risk of the portfolio while increasing the potential return.

The loans are in principal unsecured. We are therefore very strict in the selection and only accept customers with a good creditworthiness.

This effect is about reducing the total risk of loss of an investment portfolio. It is achieved by splitting the total risk into multiple, preferably not correlated single risks and thereby creating a wide dispersion of the single risks.

The gross investment return consists of the sum of all earned interest payments, before deducting the service fees, under consideration of the expected credit defaults. With regular reinvestments, we expect an average gross investment return of around 5 to 7% p.a., whereupon the returns can be higher or lower, due to the different risk tolerance of investors.

The net return is the sum of interest payments after deducting the service fee, taking into account expected defaults. This can vary based on any defaults that may occur.

Assuming you finance a CHF 20'000 loan, at an interest rate of 6% with a run-time of 60 months. The monthly rate will amount to CHF 386.66. The sum of all interest and amortization payments will add up to CHF 23'199 after 5 years and your gain will be CHF 3'199, less platform fees.

As an investor, your earnings (interest and amortization portion) will be transmitted to your bank- or post office account by the borrower in monthly portions, via Crowd4Cash.

The date of the first repayment installment depends on the disbursement date to the borrower. This Disbursement occurs after the statutory 14-day cancellation period for consumer loans and the 7-day period for SME loans following the conclusion of the contract. The due date for the first installment is then defined as follows:
- Disbursement up to and including the 15th of the month: end of the same month
- Disbursement from the 16th of the month: end of the following month

In most cases, you will therefore receive the first repayment at the end of the month following the loan agreement.

The investors get an equal monthly repayment, which consists of the interest and the amortization portion. Generally, the credit is refunded in equal steps until the end of the term.

In Switzerland, the outstanding capital must be reported as an asset. The net interest income generated in the relevant tax year (i.e., less platform fee) is subject to income tax. At the end of the year, investors receive a tax statement containing all relevant information such as outstanding capital, fees paid and interest earned. This document can be submitted to the tax department as a tax document.

Value added tax is only raised at a credit volume of CHF 500'000 or more. Therefore, you will most probably not have to pay value added taxes.

As any investment asset, credit investments hold some risks. It can happen, that a borrower is not able to repay his credit debts on time completely.

Yes, this is possible despite the strict credit check by Crowd4Cash. In some cases, the loans are also protected by payment default insurance in the event of non-self-inflicted unemployment, disability and death in accordance with the applicable insurance conditions.

With crowdlending in Switzerland, an average failure rate of 1 to 1.5% is expected. Despite this low ratio, it is advisable to diversify your investments. That means distributing the invested amount among many different borrowers or projects. This further reduces the risk.

Investors pay an annual fee of 0.90% based on their outstanding capital. The fee is deducted pro rata (1/12 each) directly from the monthly repayments (interest and amortization).

A small portion of each monthly repayment is held back by Crowd4Cash as fee charge. The investor does not have to pay any further charges.

This does not affect the services that the involved parties (borrowers & investors) use. We are aware of the responsibility we have taken as the operator of the Crowd4Cash platform. To ensure the smooth management and execution of the existing credit agreements, we have installed an independent backup service company. Together with our already operating, separate service company Lending Services GmbH, this company will ensure a complete and frictionless continuation and settlement of existing loan agreements. Only a further arrangement of credits would not be offered in this scenario.

No, an already submitted bid is binding.

You can always log in with your personal password on our platform and get there an overview of your investments.

We recommend distribution to multiple loan projects to achieve your portfolio effect. In this way, the investor achieves the highest possible risk diversification. Despite all the hedging measures, a loan default can occur and the recovery of the loan can be unsuccessful. By distributing it to as many individual projects as possible, a downgrade is less important and, in this case too, makes it possible for the investor to achieve an attractive return.
